| Gourmet Shop Boutique-Hotel Schlussel | |||
 The gourmet shop was run from 1928 – 1961 by Paul Murer. At that
time the shop was opened daily from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and
even on Sundays for some hours because this was also the milk
counter of the upper village.Fat, jam and butter were sold out of big barrels. Petrol, bread and a lot of other local groceries were also on sale here. Different sweets were delivered by the bakeries Käslin und Schlaufer. They delivered also the Ziegerkrapfen for the Ridli-market. Up to 1000 pieces for 30 cents were consumed by the visitors on such a day.  One could also buy different pieces of meat, cold cuts and whole
loaves of cheese. The potatoes were shipped on the lake, towed by a
boat and delivered to the gourmet shop. The famous “Beggerieder Most”, the local cider was offered for 30 cents per litre. The customers fetched the cider here in 2 liter earthenware jugs. The Rössli china was very popular as dowry at that time and therefore the absolute hit. The Tiki-powder was the children’s favorite. During war time people paid by “Märkli” (stamps).  The major supplier of the gourmet shop was the company Hofer, which
later merged to become Hofer-Curti. They delivered the goods with horse-drawn carriages. Since fall 2001 this gourmet shop shines again with dignity and a new glance. Opening hours are from Wednesdays to Sundays before lunch and in the evening before supper. We have a wide variety for you: selected wines, exquisite liquors, nicely chosen olive oils, good vinegar, first-class tea, aromatic Amici coffee, Italian specialties, jam and “Nidelzältli” produced by our employees and of course Dani's salad dressing.  Start your culinary trip with an aperitif in the gourmet shop Schlussel or just come over and have a look.Now, as before, you will be served by the same employees whether you are in the gourmet shop or in the dining room. |

Rooms Reservation Winter Activities  The family-friendly skiing
area of Klewenalp-Stockhütte offers ten lifts and 30 km of skiing
and snowboarding slopes of varying degrees of difficulty, at between
1600 and nearly 2000 m. From the Klewenalp with its ski school,
crèche and 15 km of footpaths, the longest sledging run in Central
Switzerland, 9 km long with a difference in altitude of 850 m, goes
